you go to the hassle and danger of cIOcorp, to save yourself 2 clicks and 10 seconds to run neogamma.....that, sir, is the definition of lazy.

I don't want this to go further into an argumant so i consider this closed
This was the original guide i used before i became more knowledgeable about modding a Wii
This is a very dangerous mod, and it gets worse over time, especially when you go to update to a new System Menu and you go to re-mod. HackMii will then state "no vulnerable IOS found" and thats not good. It took me almost a week just to find out how to get cIOSCORP off my machine.

Sorry I didn't mean to start an argument. I was just trying to lay out a solid update plan to get updated since I'm having problems with my boot loader (that use to work) and now I try NeoGamma r7 and it tells me my IOS needs to be updated first.
So I'm going to update to the official 4.2, then mod from there.
Thanks for all the advice!
you could always just update the ios. It will be looking for cIOS38rev14.

No one had the intention of either starting an argument or getting into an argument. Not your fault my man, and it wasn't davepm's fault either. Differences happen, it's un-avoidable. In the end everyone that replys to someones post is only here to help in any way they know how to help. And your welcome for the advice. What you do with the advice is the most important thing.
This is what i used to do my 4.2 BootMii.org
Just read the INSTALL section, and hopefully that will work.
Ugh now I'm confused... BootMii, cIOS r14 install(i'm not even sure how to 'update' the current ios without updating to 4.2 first and starting over).
Thanks for the suggestions! I'm gonna keep reading. Thanks!
