    Newbee stuck softmoding Wii 4.2

    Hi,

I bought a Wii with 4.0 on it. I updated it to 4.2e. Afterward I read about softmoding. So I started to look info on the NET and came across this forum.

I read the tutorials Full hacking guide for 4.2 system menus and Get a cIOS on 4.2 Wii. I've downloaded the files described in the first tutorial and got started.
I managed to install HBC, DVDX and bootmii. No probs this far.
Then I wanted to update IOS249. First need to remove the original and that install the patched one. I accidentally did not delete but installed the patched one. So I needed to remove the patched one. To do so I read the second tutorial.
Now I got stuck on 4) Load up homebrew, then Dop-IOS v8 (not from bootmii) Keep pressing right until you find IOS53 and press A to select yes to install and Sig Hash Check. Do the same for IOS55 and IOS70. Next press home to return to homebrew channel. The Wiimote isn't reacting. All four lights light up when I press any key.

    Any advice or ideas?

have you tried using the red button on the wiimote and wii to resync them?

have you tried a GC controller (cant remember if this works or not :P)

Yes I did try that, with no results. Still blinking lights.

Same thing happened with me, in my case, the gamecube controller worked for me.
