Wad Manager freezing
Yesterday I install the HBC by bannerbomb because i have 4.2 I downloaded some wad files to test it but when I open wad manger 1.4 it asks me what ios or something i just press a on 249 and it turns my controller off i try to reconnect it but it just keeps flashing then goes off any ideas? I tried custom ios and the same thing happened when it asked me what number. Im not really sure what this stuff means I only installed HBC yesterday. Im in australia if that makes any difference

Wad Manager needs cIOS installed to run. If all you have done is install HBC, you need a bit more. You will need to install cIOS38rev14 (current version) and it will install as IOS249-that was the setting you needed in your Wad Manager menu. Try this tutorial: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...tem-menus.html

my wad manager 1.5 runs fine...but when i tell it to run with 249 it gives me a code dump. i know i have 249 though because i can run from usb. i've been using 250 to install wads.

Under 4.2 things get a bit muddled. So, you did install IOS249-good. However, Wad Manager doesn't seem to be able to use it, but can use the duplicated IOS250. I recall seeing similar problems in the 4.2 softmodding forum with messie advising people to just keep trying all the IOSes they could with the various versions of Wad Manager. Quite the mess that Nintendo has caused.

i tried installing custom ios but when the screen came up to pick an ios the same the same thing happened. It just seems to turn my controller off and won't reconnect. Ill try again later though

With 4.2 you need more steps because the Nintendo update tried to replace the IOSes that are often used in softmodding with stubbed or nonfunctional IOSes. Read through the 4.2 tutorial steps and you'll see that the stubbed IOS may need to to replaced before a cIOS can be installed.
