if you install preloader, that can stop the updates, and do many more nice things!

What version of it do I need? This is the stuff I was reading earlier and it scared me cause I don't want to brick heh. I saw that it says don't install on a wii with modified IOSs or something like that. I thought what I did to get my backups to run was modifying them. I've downloaded preloader 3.0. Is that the correct one?

all of the loaders block updates ie neogamma, usb loader gx etc but preloader is worth getting still - try the new version 0.30

Yah i figured they blocked updates but if I buy a newer game without backing it up first and not loading it through neo then I don't want it to update the wii. Is preloader safe? from what I've read it is pretty unstable. o.O

preloader is fine IF you read the instructions and follow them.

It can also save you if you ever brick your wii.

preloader is safe to use but if you don't fancy it then you can use startpatch for blocking updates etc...there is a 4.2 version in my mediafire, click my sig and look under apps

I'm just scared when I see red text saying something might brick the wii. with my luck, it will! I have very bad luck... but if startpatch is the only way to get rid of updates on the discs then I guess i will install it sooner or later.

Ok I used DOP-IOS MOD and skipped the "select ios70 and press A to install the patches on it" part and went to the "select ios36 and press A on all three options to enable hacks on it." and it froze and went to a garbled screen.

Wait. It just clicked in my head.. *I haven't been to sleep yet and it is 3:00pm*

Can I just load the games that I buy *original discs* in the neogamma backup loader to by pass any updates?

Maybe I need some sleep soon.
