Question back up Games Gradually stop working

OK, I'm not new to modding as i've been doing it for ages to my xbox and PS. but when it comes to wii, it's a different ball game.

I know how to work most of it now, however after wii backup launcher by wiigator started freezing I deciding to install cIOScorp. At first all the games worked perfectly, however, now after awhile some of the games keep poping up with errors whenever i try to play them "error has occurred, please read wii instructions booklet". when i look at the games, i see not a single scratch on it, I even looked in different positions, you know under light and all that and still no scratches. This is happening to a few of my games, Originals all play perfectly still, but i don't want to wreck them (which is why i backed them up). I can add that the very first game i backed up (fire emblem: Radiant dawn) still works flawlessly and so does Twilight princess. and in case any of you were wondering. since i installed cIOScorp, i have not connected to the internet on my wii, so it couldnt have updated itself (it wasn't in standby mode either)

As your originals still play perfectly, the answer is in the quality of the backups. Re-burn the degrading quality backup games onto Verbatim DVD-R discs.

I used Sony DVD-R's for the back ups. I will try Verbatim and thanks for your help
