Wii game disc backups spin at 3X; Wii original games at 6X; external HDD faster than the original, load time for the games is reportedly about twice as fast. HDD times certainly no less than 8X and generally reported 10-12X equivalent. Loading and playing game backups from an external HDD takes care of the stuttering audio/video problem.

thank you what is the audio/video problem you speak of. I'm thinking the sd card is slower then usb harddrive cause when I copy to my usb harddrive I get 25mb with the sd card 17 mb.

There are some games that have a tendency to give a stuttering effect either audio and or video when played through a game disc backup. One game that can have that problem is Super Mario Galaxy. The effect is thought to be due to the slower spin speed of the disc backup-playing from an external USB HDD does not have that problem. Yes, most HDDs should be faster that most SD cards.

Well now you are getting into a fundamental difference between chips and software-based modifications. Software cannot reprogram or intervene with the hardware commands. If this is of interest to you, you should read the literature of some of the various chipmod manufacturers as they explain the benefits of their chip structure, programming set, etc.
