Us Just want to play backups

    Hello,
I currently have 3.4U firmware. I installed HBC via the twilight hack and have loaded Snes and N64 emulators and games with no problem.

Now I am trying to install something to play my backups and I keep getting error 2011.
I have installed and ran Dvdx installer 3.4 and it says "successful" however when I try run Homebrew disk loader v0.3 it says "error while mounting iso9660 file system". I also tried MplayerCE and when I select "Play dvd" nothing happens. It says "mounting dvd" and then nothing.

From what I have read I may need to downgrade to 3.2... or do something with a WAD manager... but I don't know where to go from here.

All of the tutorials I have found have NO mods (ie: hackmii, or start with twilight again and say add wad installer).

I know I do not currently have the wad installer, I tried following some instructions I found to add it, but it recommends that I downgrade first.

If somebody can tell me the simplest way to play my backups without bricking my wii I would GREATLY appreciate it!

Thank you so much in advance!

Do I need to start all over again, or is there some way to use what I already have (HBC) and just get something to load backups?

You will not have to lose your HBC and associated apps. You should not downgrade, With a 3.4Wii, if anything, you should upgarde as outlined in this tutorial to 4.1 so that you can enable some preloader hacks. Follow this step-by=step tutorial: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html.

You may skip the HBC installation part of Step 1. All the apps are provided, so don't worry about Wad Manager-it will be in the pack.

Get a SanDisk 2GB SD card formatted as FAT32 on your PC, turn OFF WiiConnect24, keep Internet ON.

Read the tutorial very carefully and multiple times. Good Luck-any questions after a good and thorough read-post in the associated tutorial forum.

Gonna try that later this afternoon. Thank you for your quick info! I had read that forum, but I wasn't sure if I could use that since I already had HBC. You gave me the missing step, (skip 1) so hopefully I will be playing later on!

Actually, don't skip all of Step 1, just the HBC install part-you might need to install DVDx as you report some problems. Due to the sysmenu 4.2 update that Nintendo tried to kill HBC-the new HBC has a new Title ID to hide from the seek and destroy function of 4.2, That means DVDx also had to be revised to recognize the new ID. MPlayerCE may not have been updated yet.
