    Soft-Mod for Wii Versions 4.2 and higher?

    Hey everyone!

    Since I'm new to these forums (And I'm a member of a few, but I won't say who), I've done all the following steps, and turned off WiiConnect24, as well as remove all my Gamecube controllers and memory cards. I took the chance to back up my current private folder, which contains all my Virtual Console games, and then formatted my SD Card to FAT32.

    Afterwards, I put the files into the SD Card (somehow the "Copy to SD Card" folder got copied too, so I moved all the folders onto the root of the card), and when I went to Data Management to install the HBC, nothing happens. So, I did a little investigation as to why it didn't install on my Wii, and it turns out I updated my console to 4.2. And then I was like, "Well, perfect...", so now, I have a bunch of soft-modding files necessary in my SD Card that I can't use, because of that slip-up.

    Is there an update regarding Soft-modding Wii consoles at Version 4.2 yet? If so, perhaps someone here can point it out to me that such a thread exists, and I can soft-mod my Wii (following the guide as well, of course) - although posts here with the guide would also be happily appreciated.

    For DVD-Rs, all I have on me are a few Memorex DVD-Rs - am I able to use these as well? Or do I need a different brand? Plenty of advice would be happily appreciated here!

    Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.
