Wii noob needing a little help with wiiflow install.

Hey fellas. I'm a noob to wii modding, and I modded my wii ages ago, which was my first interaction with wiis in general. I haven't really touched it since, but I'm trying to start using wiiflow and get back to using the wii. I have d2x cIOS installer all setup and on a USB drive, along with the the 52 and 53alt files for 249,250 slots. I need a little more info on what I should do, being it is already modded and has cIOS installed in locations. I don't want to mess it up, and giving my little knowledge on wiis, I thought I'd just double check before I do anything. Is it safe to follow the guide on wiiflowiki for installing wiiflow, because all the tuts I have read, are speaking as if the console has just been freshly modded with no cIOS already installed. Thanks for any help.

Do you mean on a Wii? or a Wii U? You posted in the Wii U section. That would result in a different answer being given to you.

I apologize, I meant to post this in the wii section. Could you move the thread for me?
Also, update, I just installed everything and got it all working for the most part, as far as installing the cIOS 52 and 53alt....but inside wiiflow, it only shows 96 wii games when I have 107? Not sure what's up there. I also have to get all the cover art, and install the channel forwarder, and all the plugin setup. Any hints/tips are appreciated.

I don't know what guide you followed, but we will recommend that you follow the Softmod Any Wii guide first before you will get any other assistance from us here, since we don't support other guides, especially someone that sounds like they cherry picked the files to install.

It will overwrite everything, so install Mod Pack, IOS Update, etc. Chapter 3 is an app pack that will give you relatively current versions of USB loaders and other useful apps.

After that, we have a FAT32 and NTFS guide (I recommend FAT32) to tips on how to get your USB drive formatted and content installed on it.

If you think you already did what I said and want validation, we have a syscheck guide that you can use to generate a syscheck and post the results here so we can see what they look like.

All guides mentioned are linked in my signature.

Ok, yeah I followed the wiiflow guide straight from wiiflowiki, and got all files directly from that tut....before I found this site. I will run syscheck and post results and you guys can tell me where I have gone wrong or whatnot. Thanks

I believe llaffer already told you what to do in a previous post in this thread. Your syscheck confirms what he already knew....a pieces parts half witted mod...

I apologize for my ignorance. I did read what he wrote, but wasn't sure how to proceed, seeing as he said I should follow the soft mod and wii guide, and my console is already soft modded.....albeit it is a bits and pieces mod. Once again, I apologize for my stupidity on the matter. My question is, do I follow the soft mod any wii guide to a "t", or skip some steps since it is already modded terribly?

That pretty much tells us you didn't bother to read it, otherwise you'd have known the answer to this. Look HERE and read. The important part as applies to you and your existing softmod can be found in the spoiler entitled, "Update any existing softmod" directly above Chapter 1.

I was in the process of reading that and editing my post to say I see where it says that and to disregard my last statement. But thanks nonetheless. It may seem as if I'm not heading what you pros are saying, and I assure you that's not the case. I'm chasing my 2 year old son around and trying to do this at the same time. Thanks for all the links.
