Question USB Loader GX .. Got it to work ONCE, but not again. (USB Initializing hang up)

    Hey guys,

Alright, so.. Just started hacking the wii a few days ago and it's been real fun, I've been reading a bunch of stuff throughout this forum and it's all been a GREAT help!! So, thank you!

Although, When running through the USB Loader GX tutorials and FAQ's I've been hitting dead ends.. I set up the wii with HBC and all the other necessities, such as the usb loader, MMM, WBFS Manager (on my PC), Region Changer, etc... So I finally get my Mario Party 9 to an ISO image, format my HDD to WBFS and set the drive to active and everything.

I plug it into the USB port and boot the Wii -> go to USB Loader GX and that's when it hangs up on Initializing USB. So i searched the forums some more, google some more; found a lot of helpful things to try, but nothing seemed to work.. Until I started up the Wii without my SD card in there and only the HDD; just decided to run the USB Loader GX once more, and it loaded QUICK!! got it to play and everything, only problem was i was in the wrong region and I had to change it, so i did. And now it doesn't seem to work anymore, AGAIN. Just freezes on USB initializing. I've tried to install and run uLoader and that doesn't even load (just freezes).. I'm starting to pull my hair out..

p.s. - before I formatted my HDD to WBFS i had it formatted to exFAT because formatting under FAT32 wouldn't let me format the HDD to WBFS in the WBFS manager.

Any suggestions on what to do next would be greatly appreciated. Here's a copy of my Wii Specs:

    Spoiler

    Thanks again!

See the Softmod Any Wii and FAT32 guides for our recommendations on how you should mod a Wii and install content to a hard drive.

If you don't want to follow our guide, then seek assistance with the failtube page or whatever other obsolete guide that you previously followed to get to where you are today.

Vague? What's not clear? Seems you understood it just fine.

    My answer was to:

    1) Seek help from the people who wrote the guide you followed, or
    2) Remod your system the right way.
