Are you reading the guide thoroughly (not just skimming it)? It should be telling you everything you need to do.

If I spelled something wrong, I'll just blame it on auto-correct

I read it thoroughly and multiple times (mostly out of paranoia... you know, just to make sure sure, not just sure that I know what to do before I start this ). But I'm not sure if Part 2 (the part where it says "Install Homebrew Channel and Bootmii as Boot2") applies to me. Can anything bad come out of choosing to install Homebrew (with the old one still on) and Bootmii? (I guess I'll even need to do that, because my HBC is running on another IOS than the one recommended, and installing it again will probably fix this. But I want to have a confirmation from someone with more experience than me )

Re-installing BootMii, Homebrew Channel and Priiloader will simply overwrite the old ones you have installed. No harm will be done as long as you follow the directions as they're written

Are these cards good? I can't see either of those on the Bootmii and NAND backup compatibility list from WiiBrew. Which one should I use?

The microSD will not work. It must be a full SD card. Try the other one that is not micro.

The guide says this "Part 2- Install The HomeBrew Channel and Bootmii
Read the Scam warning and press 1
It may take a minute or two for the "press 1" to appear- be patient
    Install the HomeBrew Channel
Install Bootmii as Boot2(boot2 may not be available, IOS installs automatically)

    Prepare the SD-card
If Step1 fails with error "no vulnerable ios",

    DO THIS
    "
If BootMii installed successfully as an IOS, do I go back to the HBC or click on "Prepare a SD card"? I got confused here because I don't know whether the guide refers to the actual option on the HackMii menu or it means to actually prepare the SD card if something goes wrong.

    Did you install BootMii yet?

Okay, so I'm pretty much done with Chapter 1. I made the NAND backup too. At first, it was telling me I have one Bad block, but after verifying, everything was alright. Onto Chapter 2 tomorrow... After all, courage doesn't grow in one day. D:
Anyway, I guess I can't boot up BootMii before the System Menu, since I installed it as an ISO instead of Boot2. What use do I get from the backup if that's the case?
Also, I don't need to have the NAND backup, BootMii folder and the IOS 58 and 61 wads on the SD now that I'm finished, right? I can just put them back on the card when I need them. (And yes, I copied them on the computer so I won't lose them).

You don't have to put them back on the SD card at all, just keep them on the computer until you need them.

Since you don't have a boot2 system, you wouldn't be able to restore the backup by yourself, but instead you would need the assistance of someone with a NAND programmer. But they would need your backup files to do the restore, so don't lose them.

So once you've gotten your files backed up to computer, format the SD card and start with chapter 2.
