Excellent ty ty :-) Alls workin' real well on a 4.3u Wii

As far as GameCube games are concerned.. I see things like Dios Mios & Devolution originated in like a few years ago.. guides as far back from 2010..sure sure.. site has been around quite awhile.. a standard amongst the community I understand ;-)

For a new user though.. it makes me curious what's current..

Are Dios Mios & Devolution still the only options for loading GC games ?

I plan to use NTFS on my external for games & noticed the guide mentioned Dios Mios was out of the picture if I did that..

Does that leave me with Devolution which requires original game discs or nothing ? No other options ?

Both methods requires that the USB drive be FAT32 formatted with 32k clusters. There was another process in development but I think it got scrapped. Those two methods are the only methods that I know of to USB load GameCube games.

Links to the DM, Devolution, and FAT32 guides can be found linked in my signature.

    I could partition a 2 tb external couldn't I ?

Half NTFS for Wii half fat32 for GC ?

GameCube games have to be in the first and primary partition.

Some USB Loaders can handle accessing Wii content in a second partition, others cannot.

We recommend formatting the entire drive as a single FAT32 partition.

Any reason you have your heart set on NTFS? Because odds are whatever your concerns are about FAT32 have answers, such as large .wbfs files being split so they are at or less than 4 gig to fit on a FAT32 partition. The loaders all know how to handle this.

Large files not needing to be split or converted is why I'm coming at NTFS so hard..

Would be my style to just drag..drop..play :-)

Lazy I may be sure..easy & efficiency with that method though..

Could I have a fat 32 flash drive in 1 USB & am lln NTFS external in the other ?

    Only one USB is usable.

I suggest reading the FAT32 guide to see how you can install your .iso files to a FAT32 hard drive. It's not as complicated as you think it may be. It is more involved than just "drag and drop".

You're going to have to massage the GameCube .isos as well, just dragging and dropping will not work.

I suspect this won't end well for me but here I go..

If I have a uhh.. VC / WiiWare collection of Wad files..

Is my only option to play them still http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...ers-guide.html

If so.. what's the point of emulators if they can't load those.. do those only load zips and/or traditional rom files like a computer would ?

Yeah, anyone who has "Wad of WiiWare" smells of piracy. You're supposed to buy them, and being a region-specific release out of your region really doesn't make it any less piracy.
