    Error Message

    Hi,

I successfully soft modded my wii with the guide on this site. Everything has been going great and it's been fantastic playing games from my external hard drive rather than changing disks all the time.

I did however run into a problem all of a sudden.

I own Crazy Mini Golf and it was played one evening (not with the disk but from the hard drive) without any problems. The very next afternoon we wanted to play again and I get the following error....

    - An Error has occured, Press the eject button and remove the disk, then turn the wii console off and refer to the wii operations manual for help troubleshooting. -

Other games still work from the hard drive but not this one

SysCheck looks OK. 95-98% of titles use cIOS 249 without issue. Check your settings and see if that cIOS is what USB Loader GX is using. You can also try another loader. Your USB HD setup as FAT32?

My HD is set up at WBFS and I add my games with WBFS Manager.

I don't understand why the one day the game will work and the very next time it doesn't. But I will double check my settings though. And I have no issues with any other game on the drive, just all of a sudden this one is giving trouble.

Could it be that the wii still wants a disk in the disk drive even though you play from the HD? Though I am sure I've tried with and without a disk.

We generally recommend FAT32 nowadays. That's not the source of your issue, though and WBFS is still a valid, if dated option (I still use it). You could always try to uninstall it and then reinstall it to your HD to rule out some form of corruption.

    I did that too

I even formatted my entire drive with no luck. Think I might just re-back up the game and lose any unsaved data
