    Please help with cIOS

    Hi,

I am trying to install cIOS on my wii, the wii has the Homebrew channel installed but whenever I try to install cios I get an error.
I have tried 3-4 different installers, none seem to work. my wii is running 4.3e and was softmodded via letterbomb.

I just want to be able to access my usb HD via the Wii.

    if I use dx2 cios intaller 2.2 I get 'TMD version wrong 5663 != 5662'

if I use cios installer rec21, I do a network installation but still get 'Installing custom ios, please wait... >> Install error (ret=-2011)'

When I run USBloaderGX I get 'failed loading any ios, needs at least ios 222 to work'

Can someone PLEASE tell me how to get ios installed on my wii?

Start this guide from the beginning. It will overwrite anything you have previously attempted.

    Thank you,
I read that then carefully began to follow it, I got to installing the Hackme part and when it tries to install the wads in the file I get the same error twice

    -removing title contents
Error! ES_DeleteTitleContent (-106) Invalid TMD when using ES_OpenContent or access denied

    -Removing title
Error! ES_DeleteTitleContent (-106) Invalid TMD when using ES_OpenContent or access denied

EDIT:- it doesn't seem to be a fatal error so I'm continuing! thanks for the link!

EDIT2:- IT WORKS!!! Thank you so so much!, I've been messing with this for days and nothing and after following that list I now have Xenoblade running from my USB HD. Thank you mate! you made my day!

Sounds like IOS corruption. When you get a minute (regardless as to your success playing Xenoblade), please post a SysCheck. Both the program itself and directions on how to do this can be found here. Post the resulting file generated as a reply to this thread.

You gave the error information in previous posts; did it say what IOS or cIOS that errata applied to (meaning which wads/which IOS)? I find your SysCheck in order as provided in your response.

The errors appeared when I installed the 'hackmii' files, the 58 and 61 wads.

but it seems to be working fine right now, so I'm not complaining!

You did verify the wads and their relevant checksums via MD5 (summer.exe), right? And was it a full-sized 2gb SD card? Not a MicroSD in an adapter, nor a SDHC...

I have to admit to using a 8gb SDHC card as that was the smallest card I could find in any shops around here.

anyway it seems to be working so I've no complaints, just trying to figure out how to run GC games but I'll get there eventually.

    Thanks again for your help.
