    Dazed and Confused

Hey guys. I am having a bit of trouble with my softmod. I installed the softmod per the instructions on the Softmod Any Wii Guide and everything seems to work just fine excepting loading Wii games with a USB drive via USB Loader/WiiFlow/Neogamma. My USB drive is formatted to FAT32 and has the required wbfs folder with the game's .wbfs files having their own subdirectories. However, when I go to load up a game through WiiFlow the system goes to black screen and then boots back into the Wii system menu. Neogamma won't even read the USB stick, it just sits there searching for the USB drive and USB Loader GX does the same thing. The intersting thing is that Gamecube games work just fine through WiiFlow (although there may be a good explanation for this having nothing to do with Wii games working, I am not well versed enough in Wii modding to know yet) as to all of my emus and the Homebrew Channel.

If anyone could take a look at my syscheck file:

    Spoiler

and see if there is an issue with my softmod I would greatly appreciate it

Your cIOS are outdated. You can update them using our Softmod ANY Wii guide which is linked in my signature.

If I spelled something wrong, I'll just blame it on auto-correct

I am confused. That is the same guide I used, wouldn't I already have the cIOS required?

edit: Upon re-reading the guide it looks like I didn't actually do this line: "If updating your IOS, Select "IOS-Update" -Press A"

Was that my mistake? I was supposed to update the IOS through WiiMod?

edit 2: Well, you're directions were a bit vague, so the only thing I could discern is to use WiiMod to try and update the cIOSs, I navigated into WiiMod and choose the update all IOS option and it said it installed successfully. However, WiiFlow will still not load games from the USB drive. Just black screen and reboot still.

If you could, could you be a little more clear on how to update the CIOS? Or did I do the correct steps? I don't understand what is going wrong

Was your Wii modded before your last attempt? If not, was it fully up to date from an official Nintendo update?

Nope, the Wii was stock just about a week ago. I stupidly updated it to 4.3U though so the Wii is updated officially through Nintendo.

In that case you probably just missed a step in the guide. Try installing the cIOSs again as detailed by the guide.

So just jump back to "Part 1- Wad Installs" in the guide and complete the instructions there again?

Edit: Actually is this the part I was supposed to do for to update the CIOS?:

"If you would like to update your Wii IOS:
Download IOS Update.zip (If you are on a System Menu version other than 4.3, you need this!)
Extract the IOS Update directly to your sd card
    Overwrite files if asked"

I actually remembering skipping that step because I was on System Menu 4.3 and figured I didn't need it because of the disclaimer stating it was needed if you didn't have 4.3.

You should redo chapter 2 and reinstall the mod pack. Be sure to read a few times before doing so you're absolutely sure what you're doing, and if you should need help with the guide you should ask in the guide. You'll get the assistance you need faster.

Moved this series of exchanges out of the "Post Your SysCheck" thread for tidiness.

Okay, downloaded IOS Update.zip and extracted it to the SD card. Launched WiiMod and batch installed the wads in IOS Update and then went to the Wad folder and installed the wads provided from the modpack. When I try and launch a game from the USB drive via WiiFlow I still get the black screen and then reboot to the system menu

Here is a newly generated syscheck file if that helps:

    Spoiler

Is there another way to update the cIOSes possibly? Am I not updating them correctly as per the steps above?
