Freezing when loading the SD channel

Wii freezes when loading the SD channel. Even with no games (wads) loaded. It freezes right when the sd channel opens. It also freezes when in Data management / channels menu. Wii is at 4.1u with the banner bomb used. The SD card is a SanDisk SDHC Card 8GB. This card with fine when doing anything else with the system.

Do you guys have any idea what is causing this?

I'm curious. Are you attempting to softmod the Wii? If so, that's not the card to use. If not, then what are you trying to do?

Ive already soft modded the Wii with that card. Everything seem to be going fine. I used this thread. http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html When it came time to load games from the sd card, not all loaded. The games were installed on the system memory. So, I moved them one by one, the ones that installed, onto the sd card channel. I've done this before with another Wii with no issues. Well, then I go into the SD card channel to see the games and then it freezes. So, are you still sure that I have the wrong sd card? If so, what is wrong about it? The SD card is a SanDisk Class 4 SDHC 8GB. I don't see any other writing on the card.

Update: I copied the files of the SD Card onto a SanDisk miro SD 2GB with adapter. Still had same issue with freezing with sd channel is loaded.

I edited my post, but I don't know if any one noted. So, I'm having to double post. Sorry.

You should use a 2gb STANDARD SD card. Mini and SDHC can give troubles sometimes (not saying this is the case for you but you never know). Post a SysCheck so we can see if you successfully completed the ANY Wii guide.

Also, did these games you're trying to load come from a different Wii or the same one you're tying to play them on? Have you dumped the NAND and set up USB Loader GX to use EmuNAND?

    sysCheck v1.6.2 by Erik Spyder

    Region: NTSC-U
The system menu v449 is running under IOS58 (rev 6176)
    Hollywood v0x21
    Console ID: Deleted this info
    Boot2 v4
    Found 79 titles
Found 43 IOS on this console
Found 4 IOS Stubs on this console

I"m thinking about just redoing the hack from the start.

We need to see the whole system check (leave out the Console ID if your want), what you posted tells us next to nothing...we can't see what IOSs and cIOSs you have or what versions they are.

That's all that the file gave me. However...

I re-did the hack by over writing everything and things seem to have worked themselves out.

If everything is working, great. If not and you still want to give us a syscheck, use the app provided in the syscheck guide linked in my signature.

How do you install a bunch of "homebrew games" on to the SD Card Menu all at once? It seems that I can only do a handful at a time. First the game file (wad) manager in wii mod saves it onto the wii system menu. It gives a warning that there isn't enough room. I then move the wads to the SD Card Menu. I have to repeat this process over and over. Is there a faster way?

Edited for clarification. Still need the help.

That's the way the system works. You buy your vc and WiiWare from the shop channel, then when you are out of space you move them to the SD card. I suspect you are trying to do something that violates the forum rules, in which case you will get no help on that from us.
