    USB Loader help!?!?!!?

    Hello everyone!

I have been able to successfully hack my wii and have home brew channel and USB Loader channel installed and it has worked for ages. The SD card I have been using died and now USB loader does not work. Goes to a dump screen and then says reloading and freezes.Have no idea where to start to try to fix it because can't remember what was even o the SD card! From the reading I've done the USB channel does not rely on the SD card so has something updated and caused the problem?? Need some direction as I don't even know where to start!

    Thanks,
    Jay

The USB loader you've installed is probably just a forwarder which does require an SD card. The easiest fix is to just buy a new SD card and use that, however, you can also set up your Wii to read Homebrew apps from USB instead or (and I don't recommend this) you could install the USB Loader as a full channel.

Well I think I really blew it. Was in priiloader and think a messed with something I shouldn't have. Now when I press the power button all I get is a flashing blue disk slot, nothing else! Is this wii toast?!?!?

I don't know why you would've done that rather than following the advice I gave you. My new recommendation is to make a post in the bricked Wii section and await response from someone who knows if/how to fix whatever it is you did.

It's possible you just used the option to lock the menu to a black screen (why such an option exists is beyond me, but it does).

If you hold RESET as you power the system on, do you get back to the priiloader settings? If so, see if you can undo whatever setting you changed to get it back working. If not, then post in the brick section as SNES stated.

Hi SNES_Master - I did take your advice and loaded on SD card. Still would not run from there. Did some reading and I some how thought I had to change IOS setting in priiloader. I changed "IOS to use for SW" and don't know what to change it back to now! llaffer your tip worked and got me back to priiloader. Any ideas on wht I should change that setting to? Appreciate the help guys; I know it's probably simple for you, but got myself a little confused here

Now I can get to the homebrew channel but getting an error in priloader showing up saying "Error autobooting systemmenu!
The going to load IOS was detected as Stub!

You'll have to wait for someone with experience fixing bricks, it sounds like you somehow deleted the IOS the system menu requires.

Also, please refrain from making multiple consecutive posts. If there has been no response within 24hrs, use the edit button

Edit: I'd also recommend you not play around with it in an attempt to fix it yourself, you may make it worse.

If you are at the point when you can load HBC from Priiloader, you can use that knowledge to remod your system with Softmod Any Wii Guide. Follow the steps for modding systems that already has HBC, but instead of loading HBC from Wii menu like normal, load it the way you can, through Priiloader. Get that NAND backup if you don't have one.

When you do Chapter 2, install everything, ModPack, IOS Update, Wii Shop, and then Wii Menu 4.1. This will then uninstall Priiloader but should make the system bootable again. Reinstall Priiloader at the end of Chapter 2 and you should be back in business.
