Having problems left and right - Wii already softmodded, wanted to upgrade Netflix
I softmodded my Wii a couple years back with no issues (that I'm aware of at least). It was Homebrew 1.08. After not using the app for a while, I wanted to fire up Netflix and it needed an update. Long story short, I did some research and learned I needed to just upgrade my Shop Channel to v21. Downloaded MMM, ran that, and IOS-236 was not on the list. Tried googling and couldn't find much as to why it wasn't working as it should.
The rest of the situation is a little less clear, as I've been working on this for over 2 hours now. Ultimately, I downloaded modmii and started working through that, selecting that I had modded my Wii and am looking to install over it. I have system update 4.3u, and have done the Indiana Pwns mod years back. I've reinstalled the Homebrew Channel, but then when I go to redo Bootmii it sees that it was installed as an IOS, can't uninstall it, and when it asks me to try to install again it gives me an error, claiming it can't see the SD card.
I've tried loading Bootmii from Homebrew by pressing home, and the option isn't available. Now when I go into the main MMM screen, the console freezes.
I don't know what to do to fix it. I tried using the discless modmii method, and the same thing happens. I've tried simply updating my homebrew to the latest one upon being prompted, and the console freezes.
Can anyone please help me? I'm only trying to upgrade Netflix so that my family can watch it again, as my 2nd Xbox broke for the 2nd time in a little over a year.
edit: After searching more, I tried running the Wii Shop Channel and it prompted me to run the system update (which I didn't of course!).

Sounds like you really boogered up something in your Wii. Follow the Soft mod ANY Wii guide, link is below in my sig. Follow the whole guide in order, including the shop channel update section. It will overwrite anything you may have messed up. After that you should be golden

Wow, thank you so much! I followed everything to the letter and my Wii is back and running, with Netflix too. Time to get back to some Mad Men.
