Finished entire guide. Tried to load Mario and Sonic Winter Games and I still get a white screen. Would also like to add that Hasbro Family Game night also gets stuck mid game. After choosing to play Mouse Trap while its loading it will get stuck and the game will not proceed. Tested New Super Mario Brothers and I get the warning screen about attaching the wrist strap and I am unable to hit A because the wiimote has disconnected and wont reconnect. After about 30 seconds the game screen fades to black and stays there.

Tried all 3 loaders with the same result.

Not sure if you will want this but it matches what is listed at the top of the guide I followed.

    Spoiler

Just to confirm: you did install the IOSupdate pack, correct? Have you checked your USB HD against our compatibility list? USB 3.0 devices can have problems with the softmod; I don't recall you giving specifics as to the device being used.

Yes I installed the IOS Update pack. The drive that I got I confirmed originally against the list on GBAtemp. I just now confirmed it working on your list as well. Western Digital Elements WDBAAU0010HBK 1TB - Working

What cIOS are you using? Generally 249 works best for most games, though there are a few exceptions. You mentioned trying all three loaders; did you try a different cIOS?

Just an FYI, I have all three of those games and they all work flawlessly with 249. This sounds like an issue with your game rips. Try reripping them. Yes I get that they may have worked before, but I personally have seen games become corrupted on the HDD before.

ok ill rerip them. Didnt think they would fail just from being on an HDD. Never had that issue with my modded PS2 so I never considered the possibility. As for the IOS I use I have switched between 249 250 and 222. Those have usually worked for me before.

on a side note. Would it matter if I ripped them on a different IOS?

I have also seen "Pimp My Wii" thoroughly create a situation in which a corrective softmod was tried afterwards has yielded no results. I myself am at a loss as to why this is. Follow cj's advice, let's hope for better results.

Doesnt Pimp my Wii just compare IOS lists with what is the most updated and then download and update the IOS's? How can it cause a problem like this?

Well now I know for future reference not to use pimp my wii. I finished reripping hasbro family game night 3 and the game now works as intended.

Just finished testing Valhalla Knights Eldar Saga and New Super Mario Brothers and they are working fine. Is this a normal kind of thing that happens where a previously installed game fails due to corruption? What causes this to happen? Are there ways to prevent this?

Just tested Just Dance 2014 and now it does not work. Its strange because I tested it before reripping the other 3 games and it loaded fine, now it fails. *Fixed it kinda. The strap warning loaded and the UBISoft screen came up then it changed to black screen with white text saying Reading disc.... and the dots are cycling constantly.*

Can someone explain to me how this works? Why is it that when both slots 249 and 250 have the same cIOS installed that a game has to be manually switched to 250 from the default 249? Since the same IOS is installed in both slots shouldnt the game still load?
