Thank you for the quick response. Proceeding with the SD card setup.

Just completed the NAND backup. Had 7 Factory bad blocks. Is this normal?

a small number of bad blocks are fine. I think someone did the math and determined that anything under 80 is considered "passed" in the factory tests. Newer systems seems to have a lower number of bad blocks, but with 7, that's fine.

The next section requires me to format my sd card again. If I format it and it erases the nand backup, will that make anything not work? Are any of the files in the bootmii folder or to 2 bin files needed on the sdcard for bootmii to work?

You are supposed to save the NAND backup somewhere safe (tells you which files to save in the guide). so if you need to restore to that backup, you have the files.

After you've saved the backup files, then you can format and continue to Chapter 2.

You are failing to read the guide, not to mention we usually say if you're following a guide, ask in the guide. What does it say to do with your NAND backup? The guide clearly says read it completely three times before even attempting it; you are demonstrating that you are not (reading it).

I did read it. It says to copy it to your PC. I did so. Then if I format the card those files are gone from the SD card. Will those files being missing from the SD card make it so bootmii will not work in the future?

My apologies I missed the short sentence just below where it says to Copy the files to the PC.

Im at the section where I install system menu 4.1. I already have that installed. The system version on my system is 4.1U.

I am currently unable to download the file from the wii hacks site. It always errors out at around 30 MB. The download is also extremely slow.

Should I still install the system menu still?

Secondly in the Priiloader section. I have older wiimotes. Infact I dont own a motion plus at all. I understand it says to use the 0.7 but I do plan to get the motion plus to play the motion plus enabled games. Should I still install the 0.7 or install the 0.8 beta?

If you have 4.1, then skip the downgrade. That's meant for Wiis > V4.1; use 0.7 for now.
