If you don't have a boot2-capable Wii, I don't think that you can restore your NAND backup using Bootmii directly. You would need to go through someone with a NAND programmer with physical access to your system.

As far as I know, only boot2-capable Wiis are actually able to have the NAND restore directly through bootmii.

Try re modding your Wii, reinstalling BootMii and see if that works. But like llaffer said, if you can't get BootMii as boot2 you're probably out of luck.

So if you don't want to lose your Wii info, you probably don't want to transfer the information to your Wii U. When you do so, Wii will be basically as it was when factory reset.

We have a guide for that I'm sure but may I ask why you want to "Virginize" it?

Nobody said virginize it. Between that, and you insisting on having BootMii as boot2 (unlikely) and the word "problem" (corrected in title) --- this is going nowhere fast

It either is or isn't boot2-capable. If it's not, there is no way to make it capable.

If you run the hackmii installer using any method in Chapter 1 of Softmod Any Wii, if you can install bootmii as boot2, you'll see it as an option. If not, you'll only see install as IOS.
