Help with installation and usage of cIOS d2x.
My goal is to play an iso copy of No More Heroes 2 I have on a thumb drive.
My problem is that I cannot figure out how to properly install cIOS to be able to play the game.
I have a white wii, purchased new around 2011, which was a virgin before I started a softmod attempt yesterday.
It is on 4.3U, and connected to the internet using wifi. I used the latest LetterBomb installation of the Homebrew channel through an sd card.
I currently have the latest Homebrew channel installed and functional, and BootMii installed as an IOS. I used BootMii to backup my NAND. I also have USB Loader GX properly set up on my SD Card, as well as the Multi Mod Manager.
I have attempted on several occasions, with several different versions of cIOS, to install the aforementioned program. I started with v7, moved to v8 when I found it, and then tried with the v10 Beta. I found the instructions on how to set up the files on the SD card very confusing, and got no success in trying to install the program.
I have a 16 gb micro SD card and adapter which I used to install the Homebrew channel, so the Wii properly reads my card. I also have a WFBS formatted thumb drive, which contains the NMH 2 Iso which I installed onto the thumb drive using WFBS as well.
What do I need to do to get this functionally playing my game?
When it comes to installation instructions, please give great detail, the instructions for installation of cIOS have been confusing.
Look at the links in my signature.
I actually did go through that intro shortly after getting the Homebrew channel on my Wii. (I didn't find out about this site until about halfway through the process.) I didn't find anything that cleared anything up.
The anywii softmod will set you to right if you follow it all the way through. You can use the HBC already installed option.
While the cIOS it installs are NOT the latest, they represent our (staff's) recommended set.
I'll follow that through, and update once I have a resolution. Thanks.
