Games go straight to black screen now

No matter what loader i use games crash to a black screen all of the sudden. I have no idea what the issue could be it was working fine before 2 days ago. I've tried using a usb stick instead but get the same results. both my hdd and the usb stick have worked in the past

Your syscheck is useless as is. Please read this article - get newer version of syscheck, try again, and repost.

What have you done to it?

Your softmod is out of date for sure, and you mentioned theming your system menu - we don't recommend this practice unless you have a wii with Bootmii installed as Boot2. It can be a recipe for disaster. Since you had something working, I can understand reluctance to update, but our guide (linked in my sig below) will get you up-to-date with latest & greatest stuff. You're also running HBC 1.1.2 which we do not recommend except for WiiU vWii mode.

Here is a thread on Black Screen causes and solutions. Most of these are likely not to apply in your situation (as you had everything working prior) but it may be worth a read anyway.

If this were my situation, I'd find a USB key, format it using the Panasonic formatter utility (link in the softmod any wii guide) take an original game and rip it using the loader & try loading via the USB key. Also, does this problem occur only with usb loading titles? Do original games work? Other channels?

well i swore when i downloaded the mod off this website it said that was the most up to date but I'm sure you know best, so I'll look into updating it. My disc drive has a bad laser which is why I modded it to begin with, so not too sure about the usb key dealio. I do have bootmii installed as boot2 [because i like having a backup plan lol] I'll go through some things you suggested and see if everything gets back up and running. thanks a bunch

I have a similar situation with an "extra" wii. What you can do is take one of your titles and move it to a USB stick. Basically what trying to do here is eliminate the hard drive as a variable.

also do you recommend I downgrade from HBC 1.1.2 to 1.1.0?

and in your guide there are a few dead links, and in playerkp's guide the things i would download havent been updated since 2011 [cios pack]

HBC 1.1.2 is meant for Wii U's vWii, old Wii's should be on 1.1.0
