Post Unable to update HBC and USBConfig

    Hello,

About a year ago I have softmodded my WII (V65.248) and it worked fine.
Recently, when I go to HBC or my HD the remotes (I have 4) don't work anymore. The lights blink and then stop.

So far I have searched on this great site and have already installed v70 on my SD card but with no results.
I cannot select and start programs. For the same reason I wasn't able to make a system check (although I have also downloaded and extracted the file).

For your information the version I have is 4.1E.

I hope someone can help me out.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

    Kind regards,

    Roncancio

Your mod is likely out of date. You can either go with that and remod your system with our Softmod Any Wii Guide, or you can post a syscheck and have us confirm this before doing so.

Both guides for modding and generating and posting a syscheck are linked in my signature.

Also, if you are referring to CFG USB Loader v70, that is definately out of date.

I have the current version v70r51 linked in my sig as well, or if you go through the Softmod guide, install the app pack in chapter 3 and it will give you updated USB loaders and additional apps.

    Thanks for your reply, llaffer.
You gave very useful information and it is pretty clear to me I have to update my mod.
The problem I am facing is that my remotes (2 old, 2 new) don't work (Yes, they are fully loaded ) in HBC, so how can I make a syscheck?

    Sorry for being annoying.

    Kind regards,

Have you tried clearing the sync memory and resyncing them? Hold down the sync button on the Wii for 15 seconds at the Health and Warning Screen. After that sync each of your remotes one by one to see if that helps.

It is going from bad to worse.
I pressed the sync button on the WII during the health message and now none of the remotes works anymore!
I even cannot play the game inserted in the WII.

I hope it is not necessary to format the WII and reinstall it but if so how to format the WII?

    Kind regards,

Remove the batteries from one of the remotes for at least 2-3 minutes, then try to sync it again.

    Thumbs up

I did but to no avail. At the end I was pretty fed up with the situation so I found and contacted a WII hacking expert.
To my horror he managed to synch the remotes doing the things you all wrote. I was redoing the steps myself over there to see what I did wrong. According to him he did the same. Yeah right!

To make a long story short, he also update and check my WII and installed 3 kinds of cfg programs to retrieve the games from my HD. That all for just 25 and he really didnot even wanted a tip!

This site really helped me a lot so I am very grateful with all the information I found and the help I received.

Final question: Where can I find the Thank button?

    Kind regards,

    Roncancio
