Question Black Ops Stuck on "loading" screen [Usb Loader GX] ???

Hi, Back in January 2013 I followed the "softmod any wii" guide and so far it has been working flawlessly with all my games.

Recently however I installed my black ops for wii to my HDD and tried running it from USB Loader GX but it just gets stuck at the black screen that says loading in the bottom left hand corner. It doesn't freeze but loading just keeps flashing.

My USB Loader info is :

    V3.0
    iso 249 (Rev 21008)
    (d2x v8final base56)

I don't have much experience other than following the modding instructions so could someone please help me to fix this issue as it's much easier having all my games run from the HDD.

    Thanks !!

Ultimate List of Troublesome Games and their Solutions points to the Call of Duty - Black Ops Guide, which then states:

    *cIOS 224 [57] v5.1
    *cIOS 250 [57] d2x
So try running it with 224 or 250 to see if it helps. I think we play MW3 with 224.

Thanks for the info, I changed to 250 and the game now loads.

Only problem is that my game is ntsc but my new wii is pal so I can't play online. I tried looking at that forum for a fix but there doesn't seem to be any easy way to get it to work...I would've thought that there was a simple setting in usb loader that would make it work...???

    Thanks !

The problem is that to get online, you have to download a component which requires the region of the game to match the region of the Shop Channel. And I think that requires a full blown region switch.

You may have to get the PAL version of the game.

Hmm, yea I see, but I don't really wanna waste more money on that...So there is no easy way to get it to work ? I would've thought that if USB Loader forced the game to 'be pal' then it would've matched...I don't really want to mess with my whole system too much just to make 1 game work...

    Thx anyways...

It forces the video out to be PAL. The game itself is still the North American version of the game.

If you know how the game IDs work, even if the game played is 100% identical in PAL or NTSC, the game ID is still unique per region, and that's what matters.

Ahh, that's interesting, thanks for the info, I don't really know how this all works exactly....So then I assume there's no way to change the ID easily or any other workaround....That's really a shame then...
