    Mario Kart Custom Tracks

I am running a Wii under 3.4U with Homebrew. A wbfs file of CTGP Revoution is installed on an external HD. I am wondering if you can get the tracks installed on the external HD?

The game does boot up but it says the tracks are missing.

Based on what I read, doesn't sound like it. The tracks have to be on SD card.

The information that I found is in the second link of the following search: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=CTGP+Revolution

Alright. I'm about to install the new channel right now. I'm a bit worried it won't work because the game is on an external HD

Well, the link I found said it requires the game disk, so it may not work.

If you are USB loading the game, you will want to have your system current. If you are still 3.2, you are far from it.

I would suggest that you mod your system with our Softmod Any Wii guide to get you to a current state (link to guide in my signare) before you try to do anything.

Mixed up the numbers. Yes, it's on 4.3 already but I know it can be done because I've seen it launched via an external HD before. I don't know if it uses the SD but I know it ran off either a wbfs or an iso on it.

My guess is the game can run off of the USB like normal. But the trick to get the game to read the extra tracks needs to be done via SD card. I've not tried this to know if it works or not, but that's my guess.

That is sort of the problem I am thinking about myself. If anyone else has done it, perhaps they can help out.

How about asking the people who developed the process (or wrote the guide that I read, in the 2nd link from the google search above)?

Sounds like you're trying to burn a custom ISO. Don't bother. Look into Riivolution, which uses the original disc and an SD card. There is a pack out there that you simply extract to the root of your SD card. I can't link to it, though, since I'm on my iPod.

EDIT: Riivolution foes not work with USB backups (or disc backups).
