    Wierd skylanders load error

    Hi all,

I'm a newbie at all this so apologies if this seems a bit repetative. I have been searching for an answr for this for 2 days with no luck. I hve successfully softmoftmodded my wii 4.3E. I have got homebrew and have everything running fine. I am using CFG USB Loader and had everything running great. I had issues with skylanders not seeing the portal but downloaded the 223 wad, installed and everything was fine.
I then did a bit of tinkering.......... thatswhen it went wrong. I am not sure what I did but I was trying to boot the forwarder from the HDD. This did not work. When I reverted back to the SD skylander giants wont work now . I load it with 223mload, then it ios 223mload Base: ios38 mload v4.. and it freezes. I have to restart the wii to get out of it.

I know this is probably something really simple but it's driving me nuts!

Any help would be much appreciated. I though I was doing really well up untill this point!

    Cheers

If you had to download a 223 cIOS separately, then you didn't use our guide to mod your system. I would go through chapter 2 of our Softmod Any Wii guide (link in my signature) to get you current on all of your cIOS files. This may also "fix" your "tinkering", depending on what it was that you did. I'm still a little confused as to what you tried to do, there.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was trying to boot cfg usb loader via the chanell forwarder straight from my HDD without having to go through the SD card, mind you, I don't mind now as long as I can get that game working for my kid again!

Ahh. I don't use forwarders, I find they are more hassle than they are worth. My set up is to have priiloader configured to boot directly into CFG so I have access to my games right off the bat. If I want to run any other homebrew, I exit to HBC and run them from there. I rarely access the normal Wii Menu.

So, I can't help with your channel issue.

Glad I can help. Info on how to configure priiloader exists in Chapter 2 of the Softmod Any Wii guide (link in my sig) if you need help with that.

    Hey llaffer,

Thanks for the advice. It worked like a dream. Still some issues with cfg usb loader but usb loader gx works brilliantly. Just got to sort priiloader to boot straight to it now.

    Again, many thanks
