Smile Black Screen - Exception (DSI) + stack dump error. Also (ISI) Wii lso has a modchip

    Good Day All,

This is my first post here, although think I mite be in the wrong section in the forum.
Firstly, I have a white wii that I bought already modded but was constantly crashing with errors. No naturally I did some research and attempted to reformat and reinstall the softmod.
I updated the software version via Nintendo to get the latest version, but at the top corner of Wii Settings, the version still says 4.1U. Reattempting to update says my wii is currently latest. After this I formatted everything on my Wii system memory and SD card (goodbye HBC, Neogamma, USB loaders, etc.)
Strangely I noticed that the backup games I got with the system still launched when I did the wipe, so answer was my wii is hardmodded. I don't want this chip on my console as it mite be a very old one since the wii is an early version white one. I don't want to open up my wii but mite do so this wkend to see if the chip can be removed non-soldered.

After all this I downloaded the latest ModMii and started my quest. Everything went great up until the installing HBC, the first time it went tru no problem, but it was not version 58, which it was supposed to be. Everything else was installed properly with the exception of Priiloder which when trying to install hacked files, said no hash.ini....??
Now when trying to run hackmii solution again, when istalling HBC, it always crashes with the same DSI exception black screen. Also when running USB loader cfg and wiiflow, it sometimes crashes when loading games from usb. i'm very tired of hoping the games work fine and having to restart and reinstall Wads via MMM.
Can anyone please help me to fix this entirely, maybe if I can wipe out the hardmod chip with some software n start over fresh? Any help is appreciated. I'm guessing now having the latest HBC is causing this error together with the hardmodchip installed.

Was also thinking whether to install the latest version 4.3 via MMM and try remodding via Modmii.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I moved your post to a more appropriate section.

This is an example of why you do research first before doing anything. There was so much wrong in the message above, I don't know where to start.

Half of the things you did, we'd never tell anyone to do.

What we will tell you to do is to post in the Introduce Yourself thread (not a question, just talk about you and your experiences with modding). You will get a reply with many useful links to get you up to speed on what you should know before starting to mod.

The guide that we recommend is the Softmod Any Wii guide, which can be found in my signature.

    Ahh!!

What did I just say? Read the guide first, then do. Meaning, don't do anything unless the guide tells you to go so.

The guide will not tell you to format, delete, or undo anything. Just follow the guide (after reading it at least three times)
