    can you UNhack a wii?

a friend is having issues with his modded wii (his backups either wont start or the loader freezes) i didnt hack his wii myself so i dunno what whoever did it did...

so my question is is there a way to make his wii back to the way it was before it was hacked (without bricking it) so I can RE mod it myself? or is softmodding flashed to the system memory thus making unhacking impossible without possibly bricking the wii?

Look for the "Softmod Any Wii" guide in my signature. You can mod it as-is on top of whatever state it currently is in.

so remodding it would overwrite and fix what might be broke and not brick it?

I mean for example lets saw softmodinng it makes it 121212121212 but now something is broke or added an its now 1212121212123 remodding it might fix or overwrite the 1s and 2s but why would it touch or change the 3? >.>

Please read the guide, and you might benefit from reading the newbies guide in my signature. To answer your question more directly, our softmod process, when completed in its entirety (including IOS pack) will overwrite basically everything.

lol yeah Ive modded 10 wiis all using the softmod any wii guide on this site.. but those were all "virgin" wiis'' never tried to overwrite an already modded wii with it so I wanted to be sure thered be no damaging effects to the wii if i tried to lets say overwrite or reinstall things that are already on the wii. But so far two ppl on this thread say its ok to do so here we go.... thanks
