Themes are a good way to brick your system. We recommend avoiding them.
It is also against the rules of the site to post guides from off-site, so I'm deleting your link to the video in your message.
It should be fine. Just make sure you have a nand backup, have priiloader installed. When you run thememii, make sure you select the proper system menu that is installed on your wii. If you choose the wrong one it would likely break your menu. You should have priiloader installed, it will not be removed by this and is a good backup just in case. Have a nand backup.
Just tested on 4.1u, all is well. Just make sure you build your csm for the proper system menu that is installed on your wii.
