using external HD from 1 modded Wii on another Wii
Hello, my first modding question. First some backround. I do already have a modded Wii. A co-worker actually did it for me the first time. I know that he used Modmii 4.7.3 and he gave me the guide that he used. I have a 2GB SD card with the Mod info and files on it. I then have an external hard drive with the game backups and assume saved game data.
I obtained a 2nd Wii due to my original's disc drive dying. So I guess long story short (sort of).... Can I toad the same mod as my first one, going through the motions on the Wii itself, and then just plug in the external hard drive I have and all will magically work well?
I honestly only care about 1 game and its save files. I wondering if it's worth bothering to try or not, or if I should just clear the whole drive and start over fresh with this new Wii.
And also, if it can be done, can I load a newer mod and make it work? Is there much benefit to doing so?
Any input you could give would be most helpful.

Once you mod your new system, you can use the same apps off of your old SD card and it should read your games on the existing hard drive the same way. You would just have to import in the save states from the SD card into system memory using he memory management off of Wii Menu.
To mod your new system, we would recommend using our Softmod Any Wii guide (link in my signature). Then use the old SD card and your USB.

Ok, great. I will try that out. Thank you.
