DML not working for Wind Waker on USB Loader GX

Hello, I have a softmodded wii, which I've had for about 2 years. I recently had my Wind Waker disc get a huge chip in it, but I had a backup handy. I currently have no DVD-Rs, nor any way to get some. My only real option is DIOS MIOS or DML.

I used DiscEx to extract the game, the only files on USB are /apps/usbloader_gx/boot.dol;meta.xml;icon.png and /wbfs/disc.info. My SD has /games/GZLE01/*, /config/*, and /codes/. I am using DMLr58_nmm_nodisc, USB Loader GX r1180, and Multi Mod Manager for WAD installation.

I have tried toggling the Loader's settings, with mixed (and seemingly random) results. Either the TV makes a continuous high-pitched buzzing noise, or the Wii turns off. Not reset, turn off. I'm playing the NTSC game on an NTSC wii, so it's not audio or video errors.

Is nmm a separate .wad file? Or is there something else wrong with my setup?

You're using the wrong version of USB Loader GX, r1180 will not work with GC games...get r1209.

NMM is not a extra wad install, it's just an option you enable in the loader settings that uses your SD card to store game saves.

I have links to the latest DM/DML and USB Loaders in my signature.

If you have the game data stored on your SD Card, then use DML. If you have it stored on your USB hard drive, then use DM.

Recommended formatting for SD cards for DML is FAT32 with 64k clusters while required formatting for USB drives for DM is FAT32 with 32k clusters.

Well, I've installed USB Loader GX r1209 and DML 2.6, and now all the game does is the buzzing. I tried with and without a disc. Why is it making that sound?

search Google for an MD5 hash of the wind waker.iso file and verify that your rip is good. If it isn't, you'll have to get a clean rip and try it again. GX can install a gamecube disk the same way it installs a Wii disk, you could try that as well.

Well, I have a good rip, so that isn't the issue. I finally got it working in WiiFlow, though. But cheats don't seem to work, and idk if you can use nmm in WiiFlow. If so, where is the setting located?

edit: nvm. I found the settings button. It works great! I wonder what the issue with USB Loader GX was?

I wasn't asking for cheats. Rather, I was asking how to enable nmm. I added that detail to indicate my lack of knowledge when it comes to WiiFlow. But it's ok, because I got it working. Thanks for your suggestions.
