Jerry Seinfeld Can Do it So Can't You (Something About Nothing)

Well I had my Wii all set up the way I "wanted it". I have emulator and roms for Sega, SNES, NES, N64, etc etc. well I just had to push for one more. I tried the whole Gamecube dios mios thing and ended up wiping my whole sd card. so now I gotta start all over and to be honest I dont know where to begin...hahaha. Right now the way it sits I put the Private folder, apps, and boot.elf on the sd card. I put a SNES emulator in the apps folder and it did show up on my wii menu. but now I try to use my configurable usb loader on the main wii menu and it just loops me back to the main menu. Does it not exist anymore?

If you followed the ANY Wii guide, just redownload the app pack from Chapter 3 and extract it to your card. You are correct, if you wiped your SD card your channel forwarders will not work anymore. You will need to put all the apps back onto your SD card.

llaffer you are awesome. Thanks alot. One more question: is there a spot where I can download a bundle of things to get me back kinda like that chapter 3 spot cjizzle was talking about. I didnt use that guide so I am unfamiliar with where it is.

Again thanks so much. This has been driving me crazy for awhile

All chapter 3 is, is a link to our "App Pack" which is a set of applications you can slap onto your SD card to get things started if you don't know where else to start. Included is HomeBrew Browser, which lets you go through a list of other apps that may interest you . If you choose to install an app from the browser, it will download and install directly to the sd card for you.

Since you have your modded system working as you want it, you can skip right to chapter 3 to get to the app pack.

USB Loaders in the app pack are not the latest versions and will not work with the latest DM. Use the links in my signature to overwrite the boot.dol files from what's in the app pack to get that working.

Okay now an issue I am having. Everything is working great. except the only usb loader that will see my GC games is the wiiflow app and when I click load from my usb the dios mios screen comes up and says something about error use the right version or something. The way I have this organized is my external hard drive is partitioned about 4 times and my GC games are in their own partition (R). Neogamma wont find the GC games but finds my Wii games on the external like most of those other apps on there.

From my memory this is what the error is: Incorrectg config version. please update your loader!

The apps that come in the app pack are not the most recent versions of the loaders. They are fine for Wii games, but for Dios Mios use, not so much. I have links to the latest versions of the three most popular loaders in my signature. They should work better for you.

In the zip/rar (I forget the format) file for GX, you'll see three directories corresponding to cIOSs to run it from. I'd suggest doing 249 first. If you have problems, try one of the others.

Inside you'll see "boot.elf" and "boot.dol". You can ignore the .elf file. As for the .dol file, you should see a "boot.dol" file in your sd:/apps/usbloader_gx directory from what you got in the App Pack. Just replace the boot.dol with this new one, and launch it from HBC. Then you'll be running the latest version.
