The missing .dll's can usually be fixed by installing Visual Studio 2012 Redistributable Package: Download Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 1 from Official Microsoft Download Center

Which .dll was missing? (I still prefer DMToolbox over the other tools)

Well, this is strange, but here goes - After installing the iso that I ripped with usbloader-gx with DMToolbox it still didn't work. Same apploader error.
So I decided to just delete that iso and start again. I used usbloader-gx to install the game again, and now the dios mios screen comes up and the game plays - as long as the original disc is in, that is. I swapped the disc just to see what happened and it just played whatever gamecube game I popped in. I turned on the no disc option and it told me that I needed 2.2 update 2 for that to work, even though I have 2.6+.

The way it upzipped, it acted like it was something that was already installed. The file it couldn't find was libeay32.dll, and I quickly found that on my HD and just popped it into the folder with DMTools.
The download that came with DMLite had all corrupted files in it, or at least my system (Winxp) didn't like them. It said they weren't valid 32bit files...

    1) Don't double-post. There's an edit button for that.

    2) Try installing the "boot.dol" file from the 249 directory of the GX Download in my signature. That's the one that I use and have had the most success with. Or, try a different loader all together, I have three in my signature (CFG is my loader of choice).

    3) Do you see a Dios Mios splash screen before launching the game? If not, maybe you've not properly installed DM and need to try it again. It shouldn't be playing the game disk in the drive.

Sorry, I didn't mean to double post - that post that was deleted was supposed to be a response to a question.

Yes, I see the splash screen, but then it just loads whatever game is in the drive.

It wasn't deleted. It was combined with your other message.

Sounds like something went wrong in the download of DMToolbox on your computer. You may want to consider redownloading it and trying again.

Hey. Before I add more, I just wanted to thank you guys for helping me with this. It is a good forum!

Ok, I just redownloaded the file with the same results - all of the exe's are corrupt, so maybe the wad file is busted as well... Could someone just grab this file and let me know if it works for you? If it does I have something seriously wrong with my computer...

Ok, I have been downloading the 'real' one.. Do I need to dl the *NeekDI one?

I use the first one. I redownloaded it and works fine for me. I used md5summer.exe (from ModPack in Chapter 2 of Softmod Any Wii guide) to create an .md5 hash verify file.

    Code:
    # MD5 checksums generated by MD5summer (Home of the MD5summer)
    # Generated 1/29/2013 12:57:21 PM

    73b6dd3101249b3a0c088c99eb4d4621 *DIOSMIOS_2.6.wad
    f78cb79e9c241f1be80f3430618c288d *DMToolbox.exe
    efa3fc3bc88bccff6dbcf23aeba4f498 *ReadMe.txt
    6e76bf63144571a8eba68e8df57b5a1f *YCbYCr2BMP.exe
Copy the contents of my code block into a text file and feed it into md5summer to verify your extracted files. I'm thinking that whatever you're using to extract it is mulching the files. What are you using to extract from that .rar file?

Hmmm.. The hash is the same for toolbox and ycb..., but it's different for the wad file. I'm using 7-zip.
I'm shutting this box down and doing a memory check and HD surface scan. If we dl'd the same file and I have a different checksum, then something is up. I'll let you know once it's all checked.

UPDATE - Ok, the computer checks out OK. I did notice that the MD5 that you sent was for DM and not DMLite. Could you try downloading that one and seeing if any of the executables work for you? I tried getting them on another computer with the same results. I think the dl is corrupt.

Also, if I'm using the SD card, does it have to be formatted to 32kb cluster size? I see that you have to do that for USB, but I haven't seen anything about that for SD...

Well, at this point I'm admitting defeat just because I don't have enough time to manuever all of these options around to see what is broken.

I have installed and reinstalled CIos', loaders, boot programs, formatted the SD card to 32 bit clusters, etc. and I'm still getting the same result - apploader size zero or, if I have a GC game in, it just boots that disc and plays.

I just reinstalled the original MIos V10 and my GC games boot up, so that's a good thing. I'll just wait a while an maybe my luck will change!
