Thats my loader of choice as well . I saw your post awhile ago but didnt respond because you need to tinker around and figure out what you want on your own! Default settings are fine (which is why they are default...lol). As time goes on you will run into many more features such as nand emulation and things like that. We have guides for that, so do some searching and reading. Also, if you run into problems with any games, we have a list of problematic games and their solutions. As said, do some reading and learning!

Glad you are enjoying your newly modded Wii!

Yea, I really don't want to get too advanced with it. But I have found a number of problems that maybe you can help me with :

    1) How on Earth do you download cover art ?
    2) My pointer jumps around like crazy when using this app, almost impossible to tinker with the settings cause of it ?
    3) Any way to save to sd card (I don't think there is but just checking) ?
    4) When turning off the wii by holding the power button on my remote or by pressing the power button on the console once, the remote turns off as done the screen but the wii stays on (green light) ?

I think that's all the questions I have for now, Thanks !!! (If you do have a manual to the loader, I wouldn't mind taking a look, couldn't find one on google)

    1) press 1

    2) I'm not sure about this one...maybe adjust the pointer sensitivity?

    3) Save what? Settings? Games saves? What do you want to save to the SD card?

    4) Never heard of that happening before...which IOS does your loader run on and which revision?

    1) Ahh, is only 3d necessary or is 2d for the tile view ? Also I tried pressing 2 to view game info but it gave me an error.

    2) I did, no change, but it seemed a bit better just now, will use it a bit more and see.

    3) Sorry I meant install games to sd card.

    4) Yea, um not sure, I followed the 'install soft-mod on any wii console' guide exactly, so whatever that one uses. Basicallly after the screen and remote go off I have to hold down the power button on the console for 10 seconds, it's kinda annoying and I don't know if it's good for it...Hopefully we can resolve this (I followed the tutorial exactly by the way).

    Thanks !

    1) I use 3D covers but you can use either or, it's up to you.

    3) I'm not actually sure about that. You can, with Dios Mios Lite, play GameCube games from SD. And the loader does allow WiiWare and VC games to be loaded from EmuNAND on the SD card but I can't say if actual Wii games can be. You'd need a rather large SD card as most Wii games are around 3 or 4gb even when scrubbed

    4) If you followed the Any Wii guide I believe you're using the standard USB GX 3.0 running on IOS 249 (you can double check by going to the loaders main settings, page 4 and clicking credits) so that shouldn't be an issue. You might want to post a sysCheck so we can see if something isn't right in there.

Edit: it's also possible like CJizzle said, you may have standby enabled. I personally recommended against using standby/WiiConnect24

I normally just get all the covers, it doesnt take that much space....

If you are installing games to usb, why would you want to install to sd as well?

Go to the wii settings and make sure standby mode is off.

Hi guys, Thx for the replies, really do appreciate the help.

Ok I'll just download all covers, on a similar note, does ur guys #2 on the games work ? I know it's something to do with some zip on the sd that provides the info, I would like to get a fully functioning info guide going so if there's any way to add that file, it'd be nice (just like having all the info ).

As for the standby which is the main issue right now, I'm pretty sure connect24 is set to only work when the wii's on, i.e. not on standby (will double check but I'm 99% sure). Also by standby doesn't it mean the red-light being on ? (I know theres also options like this in the loader when clicking the power switch, but I never use it). Any other ideas ?

Oh & I can do a syscheck but I don't know how....I can use your signature's link if you want it...

    Thanks !

Yup, it works for me. Make sure you download the wiitdb file before trying to view it. Go to settings page 3, click updates and choose wiitdb.xml

I literally just remembered you won't see any info till you DL the wiitdb file.

About WiiConnect24, I may be mistaken but I'm pretty sure there's no way to have it active only if the Wii is on (am I wrong? I thought the whole purpose was for it to maintain connection in standby so it could download updates).
Light colors. Green = On, Yellow = Standby, Red = Full shutdown. Still, try fully disabling WiiConnect24 just to see if that fixes it, if not then we'll think of other things.

Ok Thx, Anything else that needs downloading for full functionality besides all the covers & this file ?

Still first and foremost I would like to get the turning off issue sorted, really annoying not being able to turn off from the remote....Thanks !

Yea the light stays green like I said so it's weird & yes wiiconnect24 is just the service that does updates/internet connectivity? as far as I can understand from the manual, there is an option to have it off when the console is off I'm pretty sure...
