    Help with playing Gamecube backup?

Sorry if this already exists here, but I'm not even sure what to search for. I'm not sure how any of this works, though I somehow figured out how to install everything. I finally managed to install a Gamecube booter ( DIOS MIOS v2.6 ) to play backups off a usb, but am having some problems. I'm using DIOS MIOS Booter, since for some reason my USB loader gx and wiiflow wont recognize my gamecube game on the usb. Anyway, HERE IS WHERE THE PROBLEM IS i managed to get it working, but there is an extremely long (black or white screen) loading time whenever i enter/exit a room (I'm playing legend of zelda wind waker usa). I don't get this super long loading time on the retail disc, and was hoping there was a fix for that as it is inconvenient. Any help would be appreciated, but please try not to use to much tech language =( like i said I'm new to this.

I've noticed that the latest DM Booter is out of date (at least, last time I looked). The three loaders taht are current and will work well with DM 2.6 are in my signature.

When you downloaded DM 2.6, with it was DMToolbox, which is a program that massages .iso files into data read by DM. You may need to re-process that, placing the output files into usb:/games.

Yes. definately. If that still doesn't work well, try re-running DMToolbox with the .iso file.

What I usually do to help trouble shoot this, is load CFG v70r51, then press "1" and look at the info screen. It should detect the Dios Mios version you have installed (should read "Dios Mios 2.2+") If it doesn't, reinstall that.

You'll need to make sure that your USB device is FAT32 formatted, primary partition (not logical), and formatted with 32k clusters. Anything else, DM won't see it or use it properly.

There really isn't anything you can do to DM Toolbox to mess it up. You have three options available, raw, optimised, or extracted. Either will work, I've tried them all, usually will use optimised to keep the file size down. I've heard of people selecing 32k in the align section, but I've always used Auto. And I keep skip xNEEK files unchecked. The output directory generated should be placed in usb:/games, otherwise CFG (and the others) won't find it.

If none of the above is working or helpful, what error are you getting, or what is happening that tells you that this isn't working?

the games itself is running, but something is wrong with the loading time. When i change rooms in the game the loading time is longer than it should be, also at one point the white transition screen that comes up while changing rooms stayed there for over a half hour so i restarted it. pretty much that's the only problem i'm having =/

Which game is it? Maybe it's not one that is properly working yet. Also google what the MD5 hash should be of the original .iso to make sure it's a good rip.

Presuming you have the PAL version of Wind waker, this page: [ADDED][GC] The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (E) (Page 1) - History - Redump Forum states that the MD5 hash is 9841cc876fb7be6c61ead51deeabf280

Then, you need to find an MD5 hash checker. You can use the one that's part of the ModPack in Chapter 2 of the "Softmod Any Wii" guide (link in my signature) or you can google and find your own. Put the .iso file you have in the checker and have it generate the md5 hash of that file. If it doesn't match the hash above, it's not a good rip.

According to the DM compatibility matrix, it should work just fine: DIOS MIOS Compatibility List - WikiTemp
