Once modded do I need the SD card

    Hi,
I'm sorry I really have searched for the answer and I know it's probably here somewhere but I can't find it.

I want to be able to boot from my Hard Drive rather than the SD card. I followed the Soft mod guide and everything is working fine.
I have partitioned the drive to WBFS and FAT32. I am running all my games off the WBFS partition and have 10gb of space for FAT32.
I wanted to put all my apps, covers and game saves on the FAT32 partition and boot CFG Loader from the FAT32 partition.
At the moment I have Priiloader set up to boot straight into CFG which is working fine. Do you see any problems using Priiloader in this way? or is it always better to load the channel from the system menu?

I just can't work out how to save to my hard drive. It says the CFG base is sd:/usb-loader. How do I change that to USB?

    Thanks.

Just copy the contents of your sd card to the fat partition of the hdd, the go into the settings on cfg and change it to usb instead of sd( it should find it itself unless you have a forwarder that only looks to the sd card). Autoboot from priiloader is how I run mine.

Yes I had already copied the contents of the sd card to the FAT32 partition. I have had another look and I still can't work out how to change the settings from SD to USB. I am in settings but there is no way of altering it.
I don't have any forwarders on the FAT32 partition.
I have an Apps folder with priiloader,USBloader,USBloaderGX,wiiflow, wiimc and wiimod.
I have a wad folder with nothing in.
    I have a wiiflow folder.
    and a hackshash.ini file.
That's all I have on the FAT32 partition.

This is where I am getting confused. I followed the softmod guide to the letter. The USB loader is the app isn't it? However there is no config file in there just a boot dol file. It launches fine from the system menu on its own channel. It's just the saves and covers I was having trouble with. I have since downloaded the covers on to the SD card. It's no biggy. I haven't tried a save yet but I don't think it will work as there is no save folder to speak of. Looking at the sd card now it appears to have USB loader on the root of the card, so the USB loader programme has added that itself. I have added a saves folder to it.

    Thanks for your help.

So it works fine when you click the channel and it works fine when you launch via HBC, it just doesn't work when you turn on the wii to autoboot? Btw...yes you do have the loader in the apps, i misread the post. redo the priiloader autoboot file, take out the sd card and see what happens.
