netflix is no longer supported

A few years ago a guy i knew, that for reasons i dont want to discuss, i cant ask for help, softmodded my wii, at first i loved it and played backups of games all the time

Now its been about a year since i even turned on my wii and now all i wanna use it for is netflix, but when i open the netflix app it tells me that "this software is no longer supported. To continue please download the latest version from the wii shop." but than if i go to the wii shop channel it tells me i need to do a system update to access the wii shop channel, and to my knowledge a system update would brick my wii

my current version (according to wii settings) is 4.1U
if somebody could please help me get netflix to work by either getting rid of the softmod, or bypassing the system update or something like that it would be very very appriciated, but please keep in mind, i dont really understand much about how the hack works, and i dont know most advanced terminology

any help would be extremely appriciated, ty in advance

Yep, someone should really write a guide for updating the shop channel.

if only there was a way to search for something like that...

Thats a great idea! If there was a box to type in what you wanted and then maybe a little magnifying glass next to the box to start that search, that would be so cool....

you guys are *****, i specifically mentioned that i didnt know how all this stuff worked, so i didnt know that the root of the problem was the shop channel, so without knowing that how could i know that all i needed to do was search update shop channel, l2r the post before you mock somebody

Nickjay, I noticed you said a few years ago your wii was modded, I would just run through the soft mod any wii guide, to update everything.
