How do I control what the loaders display for cover art? I'm aware of the standard method where the loader fetches them, but what if you want to assume more direct control over what is displayed?

You mean you want to use custom box arts? I'm not sure I understand this, what kind of direct control over it are you talking about?
Well assuming he is there is no more 'direct' methods then fetching them from the internet, manually adding covers would be beyond tedious.
I've seen in other forums, people sometimes can't get all their covers through the loader leaving some games "blank". I'm just trying to circumvent this. I guess I just assumed there was a way to track down covers and "force" them to display if the database the loader uses was somehow incomplete. Long way of saying: can you intervene in this process at all. Looks like no.
Well when you put it that, yes you can. If you find a game that doesn't get cover art it's not on GameTDB. But you can get it elsewhere so long as you make it the correct size, format and put it in the correct directory. If you can't find the art anywhere online you could also make it with paint or photoshop if your good with them.Quote:
