Please welcome me back with some advice.

    Hello all,
It's been a little over a year since I've been on the site. I went through alot of posting and recieved alot of good advice. I was so happy with the help I donated to the site. Now I need help again!

    http://www.wiihacks.com/wiihacks-new...tml#post503219

Towards the end of this linked post I posted my System Check for review from some members to let me know everything was up to date, and looking good. I have played numerous Wii backups since then with no issues, and had not modded my anything at all on my Wii.

Back then (as far as I am aware), there was no ability to play Gamecube backups from an ISO or an SD card. Today I figured I could check to see if it was possible. I found multiple threads giving instructions how to do so.

    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...ite-guide.html

I followed this guide everything seems to be working until i actually load Dios Mios and then I get an error "fatal error apploader size is zero!".

I am aware that some stuff in my configuration is probably out of date. But, I am happy with my performance and want to change as little as possible. I know I'm asking for a little hand-holding here, but I hope since I'm a donator I'm allowed

That being said, what is the easist way to play my GC backups by changing the least amount of stuff? My sys check is in the first link, I haven't changed anything, except added the files to my sd card from the tutorial above and installed the wad from it. I have a backup of the original sd card setup. Thanks for any help in advance!

I would re-mod with the Softmod Any Wii guide by Mauifrog. That will get you completely up to date. I'm sure you know about it if you have been on the site... so I would just redo it- it just updates everything you already have done and gets you up to speed.

So by completely remodding is the only way to be able to play gamecube isos?

I certainly wouldn't say "only" but it definitely wouldn't hurt to have a completely up to date mod.

Like I said... it will only improve your system's functionality, and since you're an experienced modder it won't take you very long.

Just my opinion...but I strongly recommend it.

Lol, that's the thing, though. I took a long time and a couple headaches to do it and have forgotten most of how I did it. I guess I was looking for a fast track this time.

Did you use maifrogs guide? I don't even know how long he has had it posted, but its not hard at all and of you follow it to a't' then there is no chance of headaches or bricking.

I haven't looked at it yet. But it does cover playing gamecube backups along with it? Also any modding done with his guide just overwrites the existing one, correct?

Start the "Softmod ANY Wii" from the section for users who already have HBC installed. There's two guides on the GC thing, but yeah you need to update that softmod first. Relevant links:

Yes it just overwrites your existing mod.
