Noob getting error msg

Hello, I'm a noob at this so forgive me in advance. Ok, so I went on your noob turtorial site to soft mode my wii (I have be doing this from my pc) any way i downloaded the wiimod first to my pc and then extracted it to my sd card. After that i then put my sd card into my wii; when click on the sd card icon it then said loading info to wii memory and I got an error msg (#004 the system files are corrupted). This is the wii model RVL-101 incase you need to know.

So what did I do wrong and can I work around this to get this to work for me.
