Is your wii one of the newer ones?
If it is it wont play back up disc's.
Have you done any research? Not all wiis can play backup discs.
Have a look at THIS and click on the spoiler that says :
I have a (white/black/red/blue) wii, what can I do to it?
It plays some but only like 5 out of 30...and the wii is bout 3 half years old
Since your old Wii plays them all fine, I would guess it's a drive issue. Try cleaning the laser.Quote:

Ok, just making sure. Anyway, since the burned disks are obviously different than the retail disks, it is possible for your Wii to not read them correctly even though it reads the original ones. If cleaning the lens doesn't work, we'll go from there.Quote:

Ok so i modded this wii last nite all backup disc were working my wife said my 5 yr old did an update not knowing and now only reads some what should i do?but reads all originals..sorry wife just informed me of this
Please use the Edit function.;)
