Hi, i recently soft modded my wii, it works most of the time but once in a while when i try to play one of my game backups i have on an external hard drive it loads the game for a few seconds and then the screen stays black, it happens the most with need for speed prostreet. i followed a well "liked" youtube video on how to get usb loader gx and i had to mod a few ios's. i just need to make it more stable for playing my game backups, thats all i need it to do, thanks.
Post a system check. Also, FYI there is a lot of fail in Youtube videos, not to mention there are still a lot of old ones out there that no longer apply.

Follow the Softmod ANY Wii guide. That should get you squared away.

You should follow the whole guide. No need to do the IOS update, but definitely do everything else.
