    Possible usb hd problem

so i did everything in the any wii guide already but i have a problem with loading the usb/hdd in usb loader gx...
when i tried loading thru the hdd but during the initialization the hdd just dies and stop( i followed the guide with the fat32 one heading, using the easeus program)
then i tried the usb, i also followed the guide but couldnt do some of the steps like the partition, make it active etc.
and during usb loader gx, it loads but i get sent in the screen where u have 3 option select, (i forgot) and channel and from what i see i can tell i failed

do u have any tips for me? i tried looking for guides for setting up a usb but all i find are hdds
    can someone help me
    Thanks
