    CFG USB Loader Skylanders Problem

Hi, I softmodded my wii using mauifrog's softmod any wii guide and it works great but I have recently discovered a problem.

I have cfg usb loader on the usb hdd, I did this because my 6 year old would most likely remove the sd card and lose it.

If I try to launch cfg while I have the skylanders usb receiver plugged into the second usb port it doesn't launch and returns to the system menu. Remove the usb receiver and all is good.

If I launch cfg from hbc with the usb receiver installed it works no problem.

Has anybody else experienced this or more importantly now of a fix.

    Thanks.

Yes I did check that guide and also the spyro guide. Most problems others have had seem to be with getting the game to run or not being able to detect the usb receiver. I am not getting to this stage, cfg refuses to launch with the usb receiver plugged in so I don't even get to the game.

As mentioned if I launch cfg from hbc it works, the game runs and the usb receiver is detected, but I don't want my kids playing around in hbc.

I have also found that if I remove the usb receiver, launch cfg, launch skylanders and then plug the receiver in it works. Ideally, I would like to leave the usb receiver plugged in all of the time.

I think it may have something to do with having cfg on the usb hdd, my friend has the same setup as me but he uses a sd card and doesn't have this problem. I will try with an sd card and report back.

Ok, I did some testing and found the following.

With cfg usb loader on the usb hdd - if I launch cfg usb loader from the system menu while the skylanders usb receiver is plugged in it doesn't work, just drops back to the system menu.

With cfg usb loader on the usb hdd - if I launch cfg usb loader from the system menu while the skylanders usb receiver is not plugged in it works. I plug usb receiver in once game starts.

With cfg usb loader on the usb hdd - if I launch cfg usb loader from the hbc while the skylanders usb receiver is plugged in it works.

With cfg usb loader on the sd card - if I launch cfg usb loader from the system menu while the skylanders usb receiver is plugged in it works.

Ideally, I would like to have everything residing on the usb hdd and not have to plug/unplug the skylanders usb receiver. However, unless somebody knows whats going on I think I will have to go back to using the sd card for the loader.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

    Hi

I have a similar problem, my Wii is chipped, I use the USB Loader GX.

When starting the game in Neogamma, the game will not load as it can't recognise the USB component for the game.

I've searched some websites which says something about an IOS upgrade, I don't want to do any upgrades in case the Wii becomes bricked. But something said to use the Homebrew channel, that won't open as it requires an upgrade, which I don't want to do in case it bricks the Wii.

    What do I do?

    Cheers
