Seagate Expansion 3 TB USB 3.0 Desktop External HDD STBV3000100 any experiences?

I've had success with 1 TB drives, but want to move to a 3TB (any brand) and wanted to know if anyone has tried and had success? I only saw up to 2TB in the DIOS/MIOS compatibility chart and haven't found the answer by searching, so trying this route. Any info is greatly appreciated, as is all the help this site has given me. Thank you all.

If you have a brand and model that you've had success with please post here and or pm me. Thanks.

NO experience at all, as I'm not rich enough to buy that many Disc from Wal-Mar.

If you put every Wii game ever made on a drive, scrubbed, I doubt it would fill 3TB. Seems like overkill.

I have about 61 games on my Wii and I'm only using a little over a 100gb.

A WD Elements 2TB (not SE) will work just fine. Unless, of course, you are a pirate and want every game published...

no one seems to have tried it and i haven't purchased because it is usb 3 and might not work, so still waiting for a reply from someone who has and hopefully who has had success.

If you also watch legal ripped movies and/or TV with the media center channel the extra space is quite useful, hence the want (not need) for more space. Also the 3TB costs almost the same as the 2TB, so why not get more if it works?

Arggg Matey, I want the extra space for other purposes and, as mentioned, it cost about the same as the 2TB, so why not go big, if it works.

I have a Seagate 1TB which is both USB 2.0 and 3.0 compatible and it works fine for my Wii, if it matters. I've heard that devices only compatible with USB 3.0 are problematic, though.
