Iam following the soft mod guide and after installing bootmii using letter bomb it refuses to install HBC. I tried installing HBC first as in guide but it wont. It just keeps on throwing exception error with loads of numbers. Ive also got a 3.1e white wii and it gives the same error with bannerbomb v1. I just want HBC on it as iam stuck otherwise. Thanks guys

I cant find a installer.log on card. I Press 1 after I click the letterbomb exploit and it shows Homebrew Channel can be installed,bootmii channel can be installed.
I then press continue for Homebrew channel and get Exception (dsi) occured! log and can go no further.
Tried formatting sd card several times and another card. Also tryed running dols using boot mii but no go. I just cant get through the begining of soft modding. Seems a pain these white wiis. Ive got a 3.1e and 4.3e and both do the same when get to hbc install. :-(

Try formating the SD car with the Panasonic SD formater and extract the hackmii installer files directly to the SD card.

and extract to sd:\ formated
Start with the 4.3 wii.
Run exploit (letterbomb)
Casper should load, then it should load bootmii. Make a nand backup.
Now rename boot.elf to bootmii.elf, rename boot_cboot2.elf to boot.elf
Run exploit (letterbomb)
Casper should load, then cboot2, then wiimod.
Select the wad folder, press 1 to batch install all wads and Press A to install
Exit wiimod to the wii menu, select the black channel. HBC will load.
Select the hackmii 1.0 installer. Try to install HBC.
Try the same with the 3.1 wii.

It code dumps on both wiis? That is strange. Try to setup the sd card from another computer, or another card reader. Also have a look at the nand.bin files from both wiis with nandbincheck.jQuote:

Ive bought a new 2 GB Sandisk and have formatted it fat32 and will try guide from begining as soon as home. Iam hoping its the external card reader or SD that could be effecting the hbc install. Boot mii installs fine its just the HBC thats been a pain. Hopefully the DSI error will be gone after another attempt :-D
Does it need wifi connection when installing hbc using hack mii?
