Incorrectg config version. please update your loader!

Sorry for making all these threads.

I've been searching for the last hour trying to figure this one error out.

I finally re-softmodded my wii, got dios-mios on here and stuff, got the backups of gamecube games on my harddrive and when I try to play it pops up with a dios mios screen and says

"Incorrect config version. Please update your loader!"

I've looked around and people are saying update your channel forwarder, I've tried that, others said to make sure your disc tray is empty, which it is. Others have said to launch usb loader gx from homebrew menu and I did and all still give this error.

I have the newest version of USB loader GX and I have the newest 2.6 of diosmios.

I assume I have the newest version of USB loader GX because when I click Update on it it says there are no new versions.

I've searched and searched and am now stumped.

Again, sorry for all these threads with problems.

tho you have said that the newest version of USB loader GX has been installed, it would be better to declare cleary what the VERSION is. This's will help people who plan to help you.

I've been messing around, I can get the games to load with the DiosMios Booter but not any other booter. I want it to work with USB Loader GX.

Another problem I seem to be having is

My HDD is 500GB I formatted to fat32 32kb put the games folder in for my GC games and when I use wiibackup manager to put wii games on it the wii games dont show up in the launcher. How come?

Also, do I need to do anything special for NMM to work? I enabled it in Dios Mios Booter but it doesnt seem to detect a memory card.

How exactly do I "Install dios-mios to your usbloader" I never saw anything saying I had to install one in another, just that they both needed to be installed.

Update to GX R1204. The latest GX is in the bottom of this page USB Loader GX, Replace the boot.dol in your SD /apps/ usbloader_gx with the updated one(r1204_IOS249). Put the Wii games in a wbfs folder not games folder. NMM does not work with all games.
Install USB Loader GX -UNEO_Forwarder Channel 5_1_AHBPROT.wad for USB Loader GX channel.

Thanks!!!! It all works now! Now time to figure out the last thing, where and how to load virtual console games and wiiware stuff.

Anyone have a guide I should follow for this to work properly?

or do I just get the .wad's and install them with wiimod or wat manager?

I got my virtual console / emulators from the Homebrew Browser on the wii, the guides are on the Home page of wiihacks.
Downloads - fceugc - NES Emulator - Port of FCEUX to Wii and GameCube - Google Project Hosting
Downloads - snes9x-gx - SNES emulator for Wii and GameCube, based on Snes9x 1.53 - Google Project Hosting
The last official release of wiisx accidentally broke USB support but someone recompiled it and added USB 2.0 back in. You can get the recompiled version of WiiSX here (as well as Wii64 recompiled, both had broken USB support):

Before you install any wads make sure you have priiloader and bootmii install first.

Thanks, everything is working properly now. One last final question, Luigi's Mansion NTSC doesnt work with NMM, but the PAL version does. I'm in Canada, will it do anything to my wii or tv like damage wise if I use the PAL version so I can save over the NTSC?

No, it will not damage the wii or tv just set the video to NTSC, not all out region GC games works with GX yet, it may work with wiiflow v4.0.4 or CFG Loader r49

I am getting the same error "incorrect config version. please update your loader!"

I followed the guide and installed the same dios mios and usb loader gx as the OP. I updated GX with the modded boot.dol.

I can get the GC game.iso to load from my USB on CFG USLoader.

Any ideas what I need to do?

just realized I have r1191 NOT r1204....I will try that and let you know if that is what I am missing.
