Watch on demand video content on wii

I've ditched cable and I've found sites that host content that I watch on my PC. Now I would like to watch it on my Wii but the neutered browser on the Wii will not play them. I have it homebrewed, I have wiimc, I just recently hooked up to orb but I can't seem to get what I would like out of it. For example, I found cokeandpopcorn.eu. I has some recent series and I would love to be able to watch them on the Wii. Does anyone know how I can make it happen? I have a PC I've setup as a server in my home if it helps for a solution. Thanks!

Shot in the dark here, but you might be able to set up some sort of VNC using WiiVNC. I never could get it to work, then again I never tried real hard either lol.

I forgot about that option. I will give that a shot, hopefully tonight. Thanks!

I was just doing a little bit of looking and I'm wondering about Wii-linux, most likely whiite. Since it is debian based, I would assume it has a web browser and I should be able to view the content. I read that the Wii has limited ram so it might not run streaming video that well due to whiite taking up some of it. On the other hand Netflix streams just fine. One thing I read about is booting it through bootmii on the HBC. Would it be possible to create a channel or forwarder channel to boot into linux from the home screen?

Take a look at THIS. You can use it to make a custom channel for the wii linux app. Better have priiloader installed!!!!!

So, I've been trying to hook up WiiVNC but I've been unsuccessful. I setup RealVNC on my PC and WiiVNC in the HBC but I can't seem to connect. I've made sure there is an exception for the port in the firewall, there is no encryption at all on RealVNC, and I'm using the proper IP and port setting on WiiVNC. I've tried different port settings but nothing seems to work. I may abandon it anyway because I read that you don't get audio just video so it might not be suitable for my application anyway. If I get bored tomorrow after setting up Whiite Linux I may try to get WiiVNC going just for the experience.

Thats why I gave up on VNC. I was just testing it out and after a few hours I said screw it. Oviously it works for someone, but apparently neither you nor I was the someone it works for...lmao....

So, I've been trying to get wii-linux working and I can't seem to get what I am looking for. After messing around with how-tos I finally caved and just used the wii-linux HBC installer. I have successfully installed linux, load through the HBC app, and get to a terminal. I don't currently know how to work in a terminal style linux and I don't mind learning but I would love to have a desktop style interface. I don't even know if I would be able to watch what I want when I actually get linux going. Are there any other options? Can someone with wii-linux try to watch cokeandpopcorn.eu to see if this is even worth it?
