USB loading issues

Ok I have a 32gb usb drive with a wbfs file on it and its formatted to NTFS.... I have the following USB loaders:

Neogamma
USB Loader GX
WiiFlow
configurable USB loader


with neogamma it said no wbfs partition found

with USB loader GX I have no idea how to even point it toward to USB so it can try to load the game thus I cant test if it works or not

with configurable USB loader I press A to load from USB (as it says) but it says no games found

With Wiiflow I found the game on the usb.. but when I tried loading it the first time I got a loud buzzing sound followed by a black screen with a lotta text (similar to PC blue screen of death except it was on Wii and black) so Im guessing it crashed.. I tried a second time with Wii Flow and this time I was able to load the game get to the title screen and select stuff (i didnt try to go any further so I didnt thoroughly test whether it worked or not but it seemed too)


My question is why did it crash the first time than launch the game the second attempt? is that normal/something that will happen a lot?


Also how exactly do I load the game from USB using USB Loader GX as thats the loader Id PREFER to use and not Wiiflow.. thanks.

Is your wbfs file in a folder called WBFS ?

yup its E:\wbfs\game title\game ID.wbfs

i know the folder structure is correct as it did load the game teh second time

I never could get a thumb drive to work right with a wii using ntfs... wbfs format, yeah, but not ntfs...

Join the club lol. But WBFS files are a better way to go anyway IMO, they take less space so you have more room for more games and whatever else you want to keep on the drive. That's why I prefer wbfs files on a FAT32 drive.

im using wbfs files but on an ntfs drive (As some of my wbsf files are way over the 4gb limit.. and even if theyre split I hear some games dont unction very well when split so ntfs was the best option for me imho... but yeah soo umm how exactly do I load a game from usb using usb loader gx?

care to elaborate on that? if you format the thumbdrive to wbfs, I doubt you will have issues. As I stated above, ntfs on a thumbdrive was a no go for me, would never work. wbfs would, but hey, you'll figure it out...

wbfs format is supposedly "outdated" when I made my statement I was referring to FAT32 format.. which as we know has a 4gb size limit so any wbfs game thats more than 4gb would be split.. and supposedly SOME games that are split dont function well.. so to avoid running in to the games that fall under that category I forego the entire needing to split process by just going NTFS

I have yet to find any games that don't function properly when split between multiple WBFS files nor have I ever heard of that. But I suppose it could be possible and I'm just lucky lol.

Anyway loading a game with USB loader is simple, you just need to go to settings and change the HDD settings to it knows your using an NTFS drive, then place the WBFS games in the proper location which would be USB/WBFS/GameID/game.wbfs

Each game should have its own folder in which the WBFS file itself is located.
